Monday, 14 June 2027
- Arrival day – we need feedback here from participants regarding their travel plans.
- Lednice is situated in south-eastern Moravia, approximately 280 km south of Prague Airport or 102 km north of Vienna Airport.
- By car, it is about 3 ½ hours from Prague, or 1:20 from Vienna.
- Public transport: There are trains to Břeclav; from there, you’ll need to take a bus or taxi to Lednice.
- We could organise a transfer from Prague or Vienna Airport if there are enough participants arriving at the same time who require this service. Journey time approx. 3.5 hours from Prague, 1.5 hours from Vienna.
- Arrival at the Hotel Galant in Lednice, 3 nights accommodation
- General Assembly at the hotel in the evening.

Lectures at the Hotel Galant in the afternoon. As we won’t have much time for lectures, we would like to limit them to the programme topic ‘Glass chandeliers – past, present and future’.

Return journey to Prague with one or two stops. (This day is still being planned). Or individual return journeys. Note: If you plan to fly over Prague, you may need to stay the night there if you cannot get an evening flight.
We have already gathered many exciting ideas and are confident that this gathering will be full of special highlights. Among other things, we are planning a tasting of Moravian wines, insights into Czech culture and history, and encounters with some as yet little-known treasures.
One extra option would be to spend an extra night in Northern Bohemia and visit the Eliáška Project on Friday, 18 June 2027, so that one could get to know it first-hand and gain an insight into its origins. By visiting the Eliáška Project, we also want to show our members why Light and Glass was founded in 2000 and how the original idea has evolved to this day.
To help us with the planning, we’d like an estimate of the number of participants. We also need to know whether you’ll need the planned transfer from Prague/Vienna and whether you’d like to stay with the group at the Hotel Galant or are looking for alternative accommodation. (The Hotel Galant offers double rooms with breakfast for around €110, and single rooms for around €90.)
Planning will continue after the summer holidays!

Montag, 14. Juni 2027
- Anreise Tag – wir brauchen hier Rückmeldungen von Teilnehmer betreffend ihres Reise Plans.
- Lednice befindet sich in Südost Mähren, ca. 280km Südlich von Flughafen Prag oder 102km nördlich von Flughafen Wien entfernt.
- Mit einem Auto ist es etwa 3:30 Std. von Prag entfernt, oder 1:20 Std. von Wien entfernt.
- Öffentlichen Verkehr: Es gibt Züge bis Breclav, von dort muss man mit einem Bus oder Taxi weiterfahren nach Lednice.
- Wir könnten ein Transfer von den Prag oder Wiener Flughafen organisieren, wenn es genügend Teilnehmer gibt die zur selben Zeit ankommen und so etwas brauchen. Fahrzeit ca. 3,5 Stunden von Prag, 1,5 Std. von Wien.

Besuch der Glashütte Květná 1794.
Eventuell an diesem Nachmittag Vorträge im Hotel Galant. Wir werden nicht viel Zeit für Vorträge haben, deshalb würden wir sie gern auf dem Programm Thema «Glaslüster – Vergangenheit, Gegenwart, Zukunft» begrenzen.
Donnerstag, 17. Juni 2027
Rückfahrt nach Prag mit einem oder zwei Zwischenstopps. (Diesen Tag ist noch in Planung). Oder individuelle Rückreise. Notiz: Wenn man über Prag fliegen will, sie müssen nochmals in Prag übernachten wenn kein Abend Flug buchbar ist.
Wir haben bereits viele spannende Ideen gesammelt und sind überzeugt, dass es diesem Treffen nicht an besonderen Highlights fehlen wird. Geplant sind unter anderem eine Verkostung mährischer Weine, Einblicke in die Kultur und Geschichte Tschechiens sowie Begegnungen mit einigen noch wenig bekannten Schätzen.
Eine Möglichkeit wäre ein extra Nacht in Nordböhmen und Besuch des Eliáška-Projekt am Freitag, den 18. Juni 2027, so könnte man es direkt vor Ort kennenlernen und einen Einblick in seine Anfänge erhalten. Mit dem Besuch des Eliáška-Projekts möchten wir unseren Mitgliedern außerdem zeigen, warum Light and Glass im Jahr 2000 gegründet wurde und wie sich die ursprüngliche Idee bis heute weiterentwickelt hat.
Um uns zu helfen bei der Planung, wir hätten gerne eine Schätzung von den Teilnehmerzahl. Wir müssen auch wissen ob sie die geplante Transfer von Prag/Wien benötigen werden und ob sie bei der Gruppe in den Hotel Galant übernachten wollen oder etwas anderes suchen wollen. (Hotel Galant bietet Doppelzimmern mit Frühstück für etwa 110€, Einzelzimmer etwa 90€)
Es wird weiter mit der Planung gehen nach dem Sommer Ferien!
